Each of tapering pear-shape, supported on a spreading foot, the detachable covers with a ball finial, engraved with a coat-of-arms, engraved underneath with initials 'M' over 'I*D', marked near foot, under base, at rim and on cover

The arms are those of Mihell impaling another, probably Best or Umfraville. The arms of Mihell were granted to John Mihell of Chatham, Kent in 1725. (2)
