Oval, the hinged cover set with an oval enamel plaque depicting soldiers consulting an oracle, within a laurel leaf border, set within translucent pale brown enamel decorated with trees, simulating moss agate and on an engine-turned ground, all within a white enamel and leaf border, the sides and base similarly decorated, marked inside, on cover and on rim, also stamped '294'
