Rectangular upright casket, the cover and sides set with gold cagework mounts chased with gold rocaille, foliage scroll and bird motif cagework over agate, the rim of the hinged cover with a white enamelled band, with the gold inscription 'VOTRE AMITIE FAIT MA SEULE FELICITE', garnet set thumbpiece, the interior fitted with two glass scent bottles with chased gold caps, gold spoon, gold capped pencil, steel knife with gold handle, steel tweezers and two-leaved ivory tablet; the interior of the lid fitted with a mirror; modern simulated shagreen case stamped with Asprey's Royal Warrant
