Circular, the detachable cover set with a miniature of a child in a white dress with frill collar within a border of white enamel beads and outer bands of foliage and flowers, the sides and base set with panels of multi-coloured aventurine glass, the inside lined with tortoiseshell, marked on bezel, the cover apparently unmarked
