This interesting portrait may be compared to an enamel of young Louis attributed to Jean Limosin, circa 1615, illustrated in the exhibition catalogue Un temps d'exubérance. Les arts décoratifs sous Louis XIII et Anne d'Autriche, Paris, Grand Palais, 2002, cat. no. 269, illustrated p. 394.
