Lot Essay

Established in 1845 by Henri Houdebine, the Parisian bronzier Houdebine et Cie. produced a wide variety of objects and sculptural works of the highest order. Houdebine participated in the major international exhibitions of the 19th Century and early 20th Century, showing clocks and garnitures inspired by the major revival styles prevalent at the time.
