Tasting note: Merlot 53 and Cabernet Franc 47 Very successful vintage, natural strength as high as 14.9 average alcohol of the Merlot being 13.7 and no vats under 13.2 Strict selection with the grand vin only 55 of the crop: opaque, intense, immensely impressive; low-keyed, subdued fruit on the nose but mouthfillingly full, fruity and fleshy on the palate.
