FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY COLLINGWOOD: 'Mrs. Fuller [i.e. 'Minnie' Drury] with the author's thanks, and best wishes. 14-XI-1899. The Chestnuts, Guildford'. With an autograph letter signed ('S.D. Collingwood') to Mrs. Fuller, The Chestnuts, Guildford, 8 May 1899, in purple ink, one page 8°, tipped into the book on the rear pastedown. Mrs. Fuller, once one of Dodgson's child friends, was in later years honorary secretary of the General Committee of The 'Lewis Carroll' Memorial. Williams, Madan, Green and Crutch 287.
