(9.5x13.4cm.); and seven typescript letters, signed, from Stan Laurel to a British fan and member of the Shoreham Angling Club, the majority of letters on Stan Laurel, 849 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica, Calif headed stationery, 24th February, 1960 - 24th July, 1961, several with corresponding envelopes, the letters frequently expressing Laurel's frustration with journalists' erroneous reports on the state of his health and the subsequent siege of sympathy mail he received, several discussing his favourite sport - sword fishing, two letters enclosing black and white snap-shots, one of Laurel holding a drink signed and inscribed in blue ink Cheers Pete! Stan, the other a shot of Laurel's motor launch, inscribed on the reverse in Laurel's hand with the boat's details, largest -- 3½x5½in. (9x14cm.); and related material (a lot)
