Lot Essay

This high chest of drawers represents the quintessential form of the Queen Anne style and is distinguished by attractive veneers and pleasing proportions. The form was popular in the eighteenth century and was made throughout New England. Tall, graceful cabriole legs and an undulating serpentine-shaped skirt further embellish this example.
