Lot Essay

Cf: L'Art International d-aujourd'hui (20 volumes). In volume 18, La forme sans ornement, presented by Raymond Templier, he states that an 'Etui à cigarettes' was made by Jean Trottin (makers mark JT) in 1927 and signed by Raymond Templier in full.
Gabardi, M. Art Deco Jewellery 1920-1949, Antique Collectors Club 1989, page 56 for a bracelet by Raymond Templier incorporating semi-circles. On page 27 Melissa Gabardi states "the silver bangle of 1927, composed of a fairly wide convex band, decorated on the surface and at the notched ends, with eight alternating sets of motifs in black enamel. This model was infinitely reproduced in different colours and with different decorative motifs."
