A FINE ANTIQUE DIAMOND NECKLACE
Designed as a graduated line of alternating diamond knife-edge collets and stylised fleur-de-lis to the diamond necklace and fine link adjustable backchain, mounted in silver and gold, with two hairpin fittings, circa 1850, 45.1 cm. long
Provenance
Count Friedrich von Pourtales, the last Imperial German Ambassador in the Russian court of Czar Nicholas II (1868-1918). He was the uncle of the vendor's husband and purchased jewellery belonging to the Romanoff family while in Russia.
