A rare and interesting Fritz Neumeier handpainted 2in. Gauge Steam Turbine Train Set
spirit-fired 2-2-0 (1-A) Tank Locomotive in lined holly green with Pelton-type turbine wheel arranged vertically below steam nozzle in central cab and connected to two sets of inline gear, the final spur being the diameter of the rear drive wheel -- 25.5cm. long, fitted spirit lamp and whistle and four 15cm. two-axle coaches - two in lined brown and two in lined holly green, all locomotive and coach wheels are of pressed brass with painted on spoke details, in original box with central lid illustration with words 'Railway Train' also in German, French and Italian and an inset emblem with the letters F&N surrounded by a circular garter with the inscription 'Opus Coronat Laborem' -- circa 1905 (G-VG, some edge wear and chips, some paint flaking to one side of one brown coach, locomotive slightly scorched, one buffer missing, box F-G, some wear, blemishes and discoloration to lid, previous tape repairs, lid sides missing)
