The brass-banded case with shallow bell top with later fret and pineapple finials, the sides set with later pierced brass sound frets, moulded base on brass bracket feet, the circular silvered dial engraved with Roman and Arabic chapters, blued steel spade hands, pendulum securing square between chapters I and II, calibrated pendulum regulation aperture beneath chapter XII, the movement with twin wire fusees, five pillars, rack strike on a bell above the plates, pivoted verge escapement with pendulum locking device, the backplate signed Rich:Hudson London
