The rectangular base housing the 10in. (25cm.) long wood pin barrel and bellows with massive chain fusee and large brass fly wheel, playing seven tunes on 50 organ stops with two registers, the automata above centred by an organist with sheet music on his stand flanked by figures playing flutes and two gilt and white painted bowed doors opening to reveal two canaries, signed above the doors Georg Herman in Neustadt Schwartzwald, the pipes above the organ with two automaton cherubs, the clock in the base with white enamel dial with twin barrel movement, balance wheel verge escapement and hour strike on a bell on the backplate and trip lever to the organ
