CIRCA 1780, BLUE WHEEL MARK
Modelled by J.P. Melchior, wearing a pale-grey hat with a yellow ribbon, a puce jacket and red-striped white shoes with gilt buckles, his white waistcoat and breeches with gilt buttons and edged with puce lines, standing with his head looking upwards to the left, his right hand holding the edge of his jacket, his left holding two doves by their wings, standing before a rock on a shaped grassy and rocky mound base (minute chipping to edge of base and hat ribbon, dirt-filled fine crack to left leg below knee)
