(Vol. I: title and first few leaves with loss at upper right corner, slightly affecting image, F4 with small hole at upper margin affecting running title, XX3-XX4 with small rust stain and hole with loss to a few letters, KKK3 with small rust hole affecting a few letters, a few corners with some loss not affecting text. Vol. II: Part I: C3 with small tear at outer margin, a few small worm holes affecting a few letters, D3 with tear along margin. Part II: D2 and D3 misbound. Part IV: G1 with small rust hole affecting a few letters. A few stains in all parts.) Contemporary calf (both vols. rebacked, front cover of vol. II detached). Stansby. 1616."; section title to "Poëtaster" not in compartment with imprint reading "LONDON, Printed by WILLIAM STANSBY, for Matthew Lownes. [rule] M.DC.XVI."; and the final two pages of "Golden Age Restored" with the song headed "Pallas" preceding that headed "Astrea." Vol. II: the "Divell is an Asse," imprint dated 1631; the end of "Mortimer" reads "Hee dy'd, and left it unfinished.". In the present copy, "Horace, his Art of Poetry," "The English Grammar," and "Timber: or, Discoveries; made upon Men and Matter" [Part IV] are bound before "The Magnetick Lady," Tale of a Tub," and "Sad Shepard" [Part III] and "The Divell is an Asse" is bound after "The Staple is News."
