A DIPLOMATIC APPOINTMENT, WITH A FINE SIGNATURE. The President and Secretary of State "reposing special trust and confidence in the Integrity and Ability of Calvin Huson of New York," and with "the Advice and Consent of the Senate," hereby "appoint him to be Commissioner of the United States, under the Convention of 2d July, 1860, for the adjustment of Claims of citizens of the United States against the Government of Costa Rica"; Huson is to serve "during the pleasure of the President of the United States for the time being."
