5 volumes, 4o (255 x 195 mm). Engraved portrait, 4 engraved plates, 50 engraved double-page maps, and 23 folding tables (a few maps with blank portion cut from margin). Contemporary green morocco gilt, flat spine with glit lettered red morocco label and 7 gilt decorated red morocco bands (minor wear to some spine ends, spines evenly faded).
