A Dutch silver and mother-of-pearl tobacco box
Apparently unmarked, 18th century
Rectangular, the mother-of-pearl sides carved with two differrent scenes, two of a couple with two burning hearts and two with Neptune holding a shield and Mars holding a spear, the hinged cover carved with a scene of four hunters, one holding a swine, plain mother-of-pearl base
7.3 cm. long
