Mark of Hendrik Nieuwenhuys, Amsterdam, 1775, also struck with later Dutch duty mark of 1795 for Leiden and other duty mark
Each spirally fluted on a shaped circular domed base with a scroll and shell band rising to a baluster body, the body further chased with foliage and flowers against matted ground, the detachable high-domed cover pierced with dots, slats and scrolls and with detachable cone finial, marked on base and rim of cover
