Lot Essay

In spite of the slight variations in the join of the handle to the case which may be an added strengthener and the slightly larger finial, this and the previous lot are so close in style and decoration as to suggest that they were originally supplied together to the present owner's grandfather by Wang Hing of Hong Kong. See the note of the previous lot.
