A DUTCH BURR WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK

The hood and case of typical shape, surmounted by gilt wood figural finials, the brass dial with engraved border and cast gilt spandrels depicting the four seasons, painted rolling moonphase above the silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, ringed winding holes, the chapter ring inscribed Jan Heyder/Amsterdam, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement, Dutch strike on two bells; pendulum, two large weights, crank key, the hood probably later and the movement possibly associated.
