Comprising: a kettle-on-stand, coffee pot, teapot, cream jug, waste bowl, sugar bowl, and tray; each squat circular, with chased strapwork, the domed cover with ivory inverted baluster finial; the tray oval with conforming decoration, each engraved with the monogram AGS, each marked under base

The engraved monogram of AGS is for Alice Goldschmidt Sachs (1885-1930) who married Arthur Sachs (1880-1975) in 1906. Her father, Henry P. Goldschmidt (b.c. 1844) founded the banking firm H.P. Goldschmidt & Co. and her husband's family founded Goldman Sachs & Co.
