hand-colored engraving with aquatint and etching, on J Whatman Turkey Mill dated 1833 laid down on Japon, with margins, minor surface soiling, pale light- and mat staining, a few creases in the image area, a 6 x 13-in. and a 4 x 5-in. triangular loss at the lower left and right corners, a 4-in. soft diagonal crease at the lower plate corner, several minute nicks along the right margin edge, old hinge remains at the reverse, otherwise in good condition
