The Paris firm of Dagoty-Honoré, in operation from 1816-1820, designed similar patterns for both the Monroe and Jackson presidencies. While the former featured an amaranth colored border with a central eagle, the latter bears a marbled blue surround with gold rims and central detail of the United States coat of arms, the eagle, appearing in reverse and highlighted within a yellow sunburst design. For a similar example and further discussion, see Klapthor, p.55.
