Lot Essay

Twelve different scenes were illustrated for the dessert plates of which three are represented here. Each plate is formed in the shape of a wild apple leaf, with Huckleberry showing black bears amidst the pleasurable task of huckleberry-picking, Maple Sugar depicting a sugar camp in the wilds of the outdoors, and The Chincapin presenting a type of nut with a distinctive flavor and related to the chestnut species.
