A Victorian silver-gilt christening mug
on a foliate-chased rising circular foot and with a moulded rim and caryatid scrolling foliate handle, the part-fluted campana-shaped body with four beaded oval cartouches, two of them engine-turned and engraved with stylised foliage, the other two vacant, the cartouches interspersed with chased strapwork and scrolling foliage on textured grounds, E.& J. Barnard, London 1867 - 6in. (15.25cm.), 10oz.
