Three various George II and later cream jugs,
the earliest a pear-shaped example on pad feet, with a shaped rim and leaf-capped double scroll handle, the body chased with a frieze of rococo flowers, foliage and C-scrolls and engraved with a crest, John Pollock, London 1741 - 3½in. (9cm.), the second an inverted pear-shaped example on a rising circular foot, with a punched-beaded rim and leaf-capped double scroll handle, the body chased with rural vignettes and with a vacant foliate and berry cartouche, Hester Bateman, London 1780, the latter a George IV compressed circular example decorated with rococo flowers, foliage and C-scrolls and engraved with two crests, maker's initials T.M., London 1821.
