A SIOUX PICTORIAL BEADED AND FRINGED HIDE TOBACCO BAG
of slightly tapering rectangular form, sinew sewn and lane-stitched in numerous shades of opaque and translucent beads, fully-beaded on each side with two pairs of American flags emerging from the sides of classic geometric motifs, ticked bands along the sides and encircling the top, a panel of rawhide slats below, tightly wrapped with ivory, orange, purple, and red-dyed porcupine quills, with a pair of rectangles enclosing triangles, hide fringe along the bottom, and quill-wrapped hide pendants terminating in small metal cones inserted with red-dyed chicken feathers at top, old tag attached, inscribed Beasley Collection, N.
