A SIOUX BEADED, QUILLED AND FRINGED HIDE TOBACCO BAG
of narrow tapering form, with green, orange, yellow, and purple-dyed porcupine quills, the central panel decorated on the front with a rectangular motif, surmounted by narrow bands, overlaid by a pair of stylized buffalo horns, possibly an Elk Dreamer symbol, the reverse with a stepped triangle surmounted by narrow bands, the top panel with sinew sewn banded beadwork along the sides and around the top in yellow, pink, white-heart red, translucent green, and two shades of blue beads, a panel of quill-wrapped rawhide slats below, hide fringe along the bottom
