Andy Warhol (1928-1987)
Property of Ms. Haila Stoddard, Connecticut The eleven drawings in lots 48-49 were created by Warhol in 1963. A theatre actress and producer, Ms. Haila Stoddard, asked Warhol to design the costumes for the Broadway show The Beast in Me. The show opened at New York's Plymouth theatre on May 16, 1963. This marked Warhol's first and only theatre assignment.
