The superstructure with shaped three-quarter cresting above a reeded frieze and a pair of panelled doors enclosing a fitted interior of pigeon-holes and camphorwood-lined drawers around a door, above a pedestal desk section with three mahogany-lined drawers, each pedestal with camphorwood-lined drawers, on squared ebonised paw feet, the underside of the drawers with Chinese characters, the top surface of the pedestal desk section originally sliding, the frieze drawers probably later inserted and later lined, the central frieze drawer previously with a hinged writing-slope, with silver personalised key fob and chain
