The circular marble top with bands of siena and verde antico enclosing a specimen marble chess board, on a tripod base with ring-handled lion's masks terminating in stylised foliage, on a concave-sided triangular plinth, with paw feet, redecorated, the underside inscribed in chalk 'T1698'
