MARK OF BENJAMIN SMITH, LONDON, 1813
Each circular and with a fruiting vine and leaf heightened ribbon tied reeded border, the detachable covers with a lobed band and a detachable leaf-capped double scroll handle, engraved on each side with a cartouche, one vacant, the other later engraved with a crest below a motto, marked on side of dish and cover and on finial, three further stamped underneath with maker's mark, each later fitted with a silver-plate divider
