AN ARAB PRESENTATION JAMBIYA
Early 20th Century
With curved blade of watered steel, horn hilt fitted with gold filigree pommel-cap and two rows of three gold filigree bosses, in its original scabbard entirely encased in silver, decorated with filigree patterns on both sides, inscribed 'From Assyrian Officers, R.A.F. levies, Iraq' at the mouth on one side, 'Habbaniya, May 1942' on the other, and in fine condition throughout; sold together with three pieces of correspondence
