FIRST EDITION of this rare pamphlet examining corruption in the horse trade, and ending with a short poem on the roguery of the 'Vulpone jocky' who 'can convert (he's grown to such a pass)/Horse into mony, Man into an Ass'. ESTC locates only 2 copies (BL; Bodleian). The work was later reprinted as an appendix to William Burdon's Gentleman's Pocket-Farrier (London, 1742). Wing S-4353; not in Huth or Mellon/Podeschi.
