A LARGE PAPER COPY of this attractive work issued in paper of varying thickness and colours. The work came about as a result of Scott having heard that Napoleon's jacket in St Helena was adorned with buttons illustrating hunting scenes and challenging Gosden that if he had some silver buttons made for his shooting-jacket, he, Scott, would engrave them so that they should be the finest in the world. Schwerdt I, p.213. (2)
