2 vols., 4° (295 x 220mm). Engraved frontispieces, vignettes, map, and 24 photographic reproductions, and EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED with c.92 engravings and a facsimile ALS to Thomas Pennant. Full red morocco gilt, by Ramage, covers and spines with gilt bird tools, gilt turn-ins and edges (clippings tipped on blanks).

A FINE COPY, EXTRA ILLUSTRATED with series of engravings after H. Railton, J.G. Keulemans, E.J. Sullivan, and others, and the concluding portion of an original autograph letter, signed, addressed to White's sister-in-law, including a few lines in verse: 'Cramm'd up with furze, with faggots, & huge stones what a rough road of glass, horns, flints & Bones! Blockheads are always busy'd in this wrong: Mend not at all, & one might get along'. (2)
