Lot Essay

By family tradition made for M.N. Mehta (Merwanji Nanbhoy Mehta) who was enormously successful in the jewelry import business in Calcutta, becoming known as the "King of Bangles". His grand house, Mehta Lodge, eventually became the Park Street Police Station. Papers outlining this story will be made available to the buyer.
