Each piece painted with the entwined monogram MBS within a circular gilt band, reserved on a ground decorated with fruiting branches, birds and foliage, enriched in gilt, comprising:
An oval two-handled soup tureen, cover and stand
Nine dinner plates, 9 3/8 in. (24 cm.) diameter
A breakfast cup
An egg-cup
Two teacups and two saucers, one saucer decorated with battling warriors
Four larger saucers, 6 in. (15.3 cm.) diameter
A stand painted with four scrolled fan-shaped cartouches with birds amongst flowers, 7 7/8 in. (18.2 cm.) diameter (23)

A pair of Smith saucers sold Christie's, New York, The British Interior, 21st January 1998, lot 273.
