A fine, early pressed bisque, almond-eyed Jumeau bébé
with closed mouth, pierced moulded ears, fixed blue and white striated eyes with darker outside edge, upper and lower painted lashes, skin wig and rare finely carved and painted wooden jointed body with fixed wrists and compostion hands - 16½in. 42cm. high, impressed 1 and heat stamped on the body Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris, circa 1880 (needs restringing, one thumb damaged)
