signed on the backplate J.B. DANCER MANCHESTER, the with dust-cover, star-finder, rack and pinion and sliding eyepiece tube focusing, on a heavy alt-azimuth mounting with counterweight, twin graduated circles with indexes and clamps, one with mahogany-armed worm-screw adjustment, atop a large mahogany tripod with hinged brass spider and screws on two feet for vertical fine adjustment via a mahogany handle, the telescope kept in the original black-painted pine case with two further eyepiece tubes, iron carrying handles and a Dancer trade label in the lid showing a good selection of different instruments
