Third quarter 19th Century
The rectangular top inset with a tan-coloured leather writing surface within an acanthus border, with Vitruvian scroll frieze and female masks within strapwork cartouches to the angles, the front fitted with a drawer with plaque depicting cloudborne putti, the reverse with similar plaque, on tapering fluted legs, each headed by an Ionic capital and ribbon-tied laurel festoons, joined by a shaped stretcher centred by a flaming urn
