Tasting Note: On the whole, a good '83. Originally spicy and very tannic, still rather aggressive, fruity and flavoury but with 'swingeing finish' (dinner at Athenaeum, London 1996), less so at a Beychevelle vertical in 1997, in fact 'sweet, delicious, drinking well', and one of the drying out Medoc's at the Decanter tasting. Last tasted Dec 1999 *** Should continue M.B.
