Enamelled in iron-red, black, green and gilt with a central coat-of-arms surrounded by S-shaped scrollwork and surmounted by a demi-lune, the rim with pendant stems of chrysanthemum, vine and peony

These arms, while not precisely identified are probably those of an Amsterdam family or guild. It is known from a lacquer seal on a letter dated Amsterdam, 11 July 1752, written and signed by fourteen chief tax collectors (Hoofdgaarders).
