Ernst August Leuteritz was employed as a designer in 1836 and from 1849 to 1886 he held the post of director and top modeller.
See R. Röntgen, The Book of Meissen, Atglen, 1996, p. 206, fig. 320 for a comparable krater vase with similar enamelled decoration developed by Leuteritz in the mid 19th century in response to renewed interest in the Renaissance style of Limoges enamel decoration.
