With shaped arched-divided rectangular plate with engraved headplate and rectangular bevelled lower plate, in a gadrooned frame surmounted by rockwork and pierced C- and S-scrolls with foliate canopy, re-gilt, the upper plate cracked, the backboard with paper label inscribed 'from Bruntisfield Ho. Edin Paliagi room NO 18', the backboard stencilled 'W', possibly reduced in height, one old mirror plate fixing stamped '2455', the plates removed from an early 18th century mirror
