Each of breakfront D-shaped outline and painted with trailing flowers and berried stems, on square tapering legs with later spade feet, each now fitted with a mount which allows them to be locked together back to back, one bearing label 'T321' second label 'T321A' and another label 'treated for woodworm JAN 1959', restorations, the painted decoration probably Victorian

These tables formed part of the collection of William Lever, 1st Viscount Leverhulme (d. 1925), whose enthusiasm for English furniture, particularly of the Georgian period, was demonstrated by his establishment of the Lady Lever Art Gallery, which was opened in Port Sunlight in 1922. Another part of his collection was displayed at his Cheshire home, Thornton Manor.
