The rectangular removable crossbanded top inlaid with a chessboard flanked by green gilt-tooled later leather panels on one side and a plain crossbanded mahogany panel on the other, enclosing an ebony-lined backgammon board inlaid with bone and green-stained bone points, the sides with dished rectangular mahogany panels, the ends with frieze drawers on square tapering legs with brass caps and castors, with two leather dice shakers, fifteen red and fifteen yellow counters, one large numbered dice, and four red dice, stamped 'CLERMONT/CLUB', two dice stamped '698', another stamped '571'
